  • Day 2 PERTH
    Explore the city of Perth!

Perth, capital of Western Australia, sits where the Swan River meets the southwest coast. Sandy beaches line its suburbs, and the huge, riverside Kings Park and Botanic Garden on Mount Eliza offer sweeping views of the city. The Perth Cultural Centre houses the state ballet and opera companies, and occupies its own central precinct, including a theatre, library and the Art Gallery of Western Australia.
Explore the mysterious Pinnacles Desert, 2 1/4hrs north of Perth. Stop at Caversham Wildlife Park in Swan Valley to see koalas and kangaroos, then travel to Cervantes, a pretty little fishing village. Then head for the Pinnacles Desert for an easy walk in this curious set of vertical rocks that seem sown in the desert. You will be impressed by the beauty of the beaches and the view along the coast. Drive back to Perth at the end of the day.

    Return your rental car.
