Sydney is ideal for shopping. You cannot miss the main interests such as Darling Harbor or the famous Sydney Opera House.
  • Day 2 SYDNEY
Enjoy your free day in Sydney! Sydney is one of the most stunning and easy to get around cities in the world. Take a stroll through the Chinese Garden and Daring Harbour and take the time to discover Sydney Harbour. Stretched over 20 km, it is the true heart of the city. Its islands, coves and beaches form a haven of peace, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre. Also enjoy the beautiful beaches of Sydney!

The Rocks Historic District and the Opera District are must-see tours during your stay. The streets of the Rocks district are home to 19th century shops and terraces whose architecture is renowned throughout the area.
Check out your hotel this morning and collect your rental car.

Head to the Blue Mountains. This park is considered by many to be the most beautiful park in New South Wales. Located about 100 kilometers west of Sydney, you will discover a sumptuous setting, ideal for your first stop.

The Blue Mountains are dug into huge gorges (up to 1000 meters deep) and occupy an area of 1436 km2. You will have the opportunity to take beautiful hikes in this park to enjoy this incredible view.
Explore the Blue Mountains. Suggestions for today include:

    - Scenic World and Katoomba Cascades
    - High Tea at the Hydro Majestic in Medlow Bath
    - Three Sisters Rock Formation
    - The Mini Ha Ha Falls in Katoomba
Today, you leave the Green Valley to return to the east coast and reach the beautiful Nelson Bay. Nelson Bay is the main town in the Port Stephens area. You will find your family happiness on the beaches of the bay, or with friends on the beaches of the coast, perfect for surfers. We recommend a cruise in the bay to see the famous dolphins! Do not miss the dive sites in the various nature reserves (mask and snorkel or with tanks). You can see fish of all colours.
Today, you continue north along the coast. You stop at Port Macquarie, which is a charming coastal town.

This will be an opportunity to take a picture with a koala, one of Australia's emblematic animals, or to hike in one of New South Wales' largest rainforests at Sea Acre National Park.

A trek of 1.3 kilometres in altitude in the trees will allow you to fully enjoy the tranquillity of the rainforest.
Today, you head towards Coffs Harbor, the city of bananas. This will be an opportunity to take a photo of the largest banana in the world. You will also enjoy this stage for a kayak tour in Bongil Bongil National Park (just before Coffs Harbor). Once in Coffs Harbor, go diving in the Solitary Island Marine Reserve.
This morning, head for Byron Bay, Australia's trendiest seaside resort.

For thrill seekers, do not miss the rafting trip in Nymboida National Park (just before Grafton). Alternatively, you can take an old steam train through the mountains at Glenreagh. Once in Grafton, take a boat trip to meet the Clarence River dolphins. Then you continue to the famous Byron Bay.

Take the walk along Cape Byron to go to the lighthouse. It is the easternmost point of Australia. The sunrise is beautiful from up there.
In Byron Bay you can take in some sights of whales (May to November), relax while doing yoga on the beach, or stock up on fruits and vegetables at the organic market.
  • Day 9 BYRON BAY
Relax and enjoy your free day in this stunning spot. Take a walk along the beach, have brunch at a cool cafe or hire some bikes for a jaunt. Take a pick from one of the 4 best beaches in Byron :

Belongii – A big beach that isn’t crowded. Long enough that you can walk for miles and fine soft sand to settle into for a relaxed day at the beach. Plenty of options here.

Wategos – A stunning cove of white sand and turquoise waters with a backdrop of pandanas trees. Get in early if you want to park your car and as with the rest of Byron it’s all metered. Wategos is a lovely spot well equipped with the usual facilities (toilets, showers, BBQ and tables). It’s also a good starting point for the clifftop walk up to the lighthouse and beyond.

Cosy Corner – Tucking in just under the southern side of Cape Byron is Cosy Corner, presumably named because it’s the perfect spot to shelter when the northerly winds blow up and still enjoy a fabulous day at the beach. You’re a bit more removed from things like shops and cafes down here but there are toilets and parking. How popular it is on this side is extremely variable, if the weather is good for the other beaches it can be a very quiet.

Tallow – Situated to the south of Cape Byron and behind the Arakwal National Park is Tallow beach. You’re a little further out of town here so you’ll almost certainly drive out. There’s a carpark and toilets but bring your own drinks and picnic as there aren’t any shops and cafes nearby. It’s a long and beautiful stretch of beach set against the backdrop of the national park. It’s ideal for long beach walks and watching the whales passing by in season it’s also popular with bird watchers and beach fisherman.
Lamington Park offers bush landscapes, subtropical forest, over 500 waterfalls, gorges, caves, abundant wildlife and varied. All these elements make it a paradise for nature lovers and hikers. The park has no less than 160 km of hiking trails. Feel free to visit Green Mountain, a tree-lined course with a series of suspended walkways. You will be spoiled for choice to discover these beautiful landscapes.
Drive towards Brisbane, stopping at the Gold Coast. You will leave New South Wales and enter Queensland.

The Gold Coast is the most popular tourist spot in Australia, with its main city Surfers Paradise and its huge buildings that line the sea. You will admire its magnificent beaches!

Return your rental car and make your way to the hotel.
Your tour will begin with a cruise aboard the MiCat to cross Moreton Bay to Moreton Island. On arrival, you will join your 4x4 minibus to head for the beach. Moreton Island is the third largest sand island in the world and is 98% owned by a beautiful protected National Park. As the island has no paved roads, the 4x4 minibus is the only means of transport possible. You will cross the island along Middle Road and pass through thick forests of bicentennial eucalyptus. You can also admire the many xanthorrhoea, or called "Grass Tree", endemic to Australia, 250 years old for some ... Your first activity will be sand surfing and tobogganing. This activity will be done in the morning because of the heat that can reach 36 ° C in the afternoon. An activity full of fun, speed and adrenaline, as you can reach 50 km / h! All the necessary equipment will be provided.

While your guide prepares the picnic lunch, you can swim, bodyboard and bodysurf! After lunch, you will participate in a guided free diving trip around the wrecks of Tangalooma. With 15 wrecks just 50 meters from the shore, this group has developed a diverse underwater ecosystem. You can see parrot fish, schools of jacks, surgeonfish and some clownfish. For those who do not want to put their head under water, it is possible to go for a kayak ride around the wrecks.

Return aboard the MiCat for a pleasant return cruise.
