Coffee Mecca

Wander through Melbourne’s cobbled laneways, and marvel at the city’s beautiful street art at every corner. Discover hidden cafes and shopping boutiques from Fitzroy to St Kilda, and take your pick of the city’s world-famous eateries.

Sports capital

Melbourne is Australia’s sporting capital and year-round, there’s something for everyone. Visit the Melbourne Cricket Ground for some AFL excitement from March till September each year, or for a Big Bash or international Cricket spectacle. Go trackside at Flemington Racecourse for the Spring Racing Carnival, most notably the Melbourne Cup in November. Botanical Gardens

  • Ballarat
    Take a journey back to the Gold Rush days of the 1850’s in the period mining town of Sovereign Hill, and see what life was like for some of Australia’s earliest pioneers. Located in Ballarat, an hour from Melbourne, you can pan for gold with other prospectors, tour the original underground gold mines, or just explore the vagaries of the quaint little mining town that is Sovereign Hill. With a range of activities to do and in-character staff to interact with, wandering the streets of Sovereign Hill makes the 1850’s really comes to life.
  • Great Ocean Road
    Set off on a Great Ocean Road adventure, and take in the sights of some of Australia’s most breath-taking coastal views. From the 12 Apostles, the surf coast, to spotting wildlife at the various seaside villages, you can take in the sights as well as sampling the regions renowned culinary delights.
