Delve into the rich Aboriginal and European history of the area, visiting significant sites such as Dalhousie Springs, where you can swim in the thermal pools—the largest surface expression of the Great Artesian Basin.

Follow the historic Old Ghan Railway to Finke, and traverse the infamous French Line through the Simpson Desert. Camp at Chambers Pillar to witness a spectacular sunset, and spend two nights at the iconic Birdsville Hotel on the desert’s edge.
